Captain Calvin F. Duvalle grew up fishing shrimping, crabbing, and hunting in Southeast Louisiana with his father Big Cal. Big Cal has a love for the outdoors that he passed on to Calvin. Calvin took that love for the outdoors and compounded it. His younger years were spent going to school, playing sports, and spending the rest of this time in the woods or on the water. If you bring him into the city he cannot find is way around, but put him in the woods or on the water and he is never lost.
USCG Captain Travis Lanphar grew up in Central Florida and has spent the last 30 + years fishing the lakes, canals, and inshore flats of Central and South Florida. He is an avid bow hunter and archery enthusiast. His love for bowfishing started while he was preparing for an alligator hunt with a bow. Equipped with an old Ben Pearson recurve with badly twisted limbs and a tape on reel, he practiced shooting at fish to prepare for the alligator hunt. The excitement of shooting fish prompted him and his brother Shanon and nephew Briceson to compete in local bowfishing tournaments to hone their skills. Twisted Limbs Bowfishing was born. In May of 2014 they competed in the US Open Bowfishing Championship, with Outdoor Life Magazine on their boat. The story printed in the May 2015 issue of Outdoor Life Magazine. Travis now spends many nights and weekends sharing his love of bowfishing with others. Join him for an adventure that you won't forget.
